The Melvins, a pioneering rock band since their inception in 1983 in Washington, took the stage first. Melvins delivered an electrifying performance that showcased their influential role in the development of grunge and sludge metal. Their thick, sludge metal sounds reverberated throughout the venue, captivating their loyal fan base. Following the Melvins, Boris took the stage, shrouding the venue in a dense cloud of smoke. Hailing from Tokyo, Japan, and formed in 1992, Boris comprises three immensely talented musicians: drummer Atsuo, guitarist/bassist Takeshi, and guitarist/keyboardist Wata, all of whom contribute to creating a truly unique sonic experience. Their music seamlessly melds sludge, metal, noise, and psychedelic rock, immersing the audience in a mesmerizing soundscape.
